The KIRC is a 170(c)(1), a government agency authorized per IRS Publication 557 to receive tax-deductible contributions to its public purpose programs – such as Cultural, Ocean Resources, Restoration, Reserve Operations and the Reserve Education, Admin Center & Museum Building Program. Donations should be made to the Kahoʻolawe Rehabilitation Trust Fund As with all contributions, donors should always consult with their tax advisors before claiming any tax-deductible charitable contributions.
